Santa Barbara Surf Forecast - for Tuesday - 2/2/2010

New WNW-NW swell moves in on top of the fading energy from the weekend…it may have a little trouble making it into Santa Barbara spots since it starts with some longer swell-periods and the direction is a little steep but there will be at least some new energy in the water.
Look for most breaks to hold around knee-waist high but expect the best South County breaks to see chest-shoulder high sets…and maybe a little bigger by the end of the day.
Winds look good for the morning…mostly light and variable to light ESE. Winds shift more S-SW onshore around 10-12 knots for the afternoon. Chance of light showers developing overnight into Wednesday.
