Santa Barbara Surf Forecast - for Thursday - 2/4/2010

Look for fading but still playful WNW-NW swell on Thursday…the swell direction (280-300) is a little steep for Santa Barbara but there will still be enough energy to get out there in the morning and pick off a few sections. Wave heights will average around knee-waist high for most spots…standout NW facing breaks will be more in chest-shoulder high range with some rare bigger sets early in the morning.
Winds look good with mostly light and variable to light offshore flow early on. W winds 10-15 knots will build onshore in the afternoon.
