Santa Barbara Surf Forecast - for Wednesday - 2/10/2010

Look for the mix of W-NW swell to continue to wind down on Wednesday, while some new NW windswell moves into the background of the swell mix. Most spots will see surf in the knee-waist high range…with shape staying pretty slow to almost flat for the morning thanks to the fatter tide that peaks just after sunrise. Not much change in size through the day…but we may see some faster lines as the tide drops.
Winds aren’t going to be super helpful but there will be some semi-clean conditions early…and there will continue to be some rain moving in throughout the morning as well. Look for light/variable to variable-onshore flow for the morning. NW winds 10-20 knots will develop through the afternoon.
