Santa Barbara Surf Forecast - for Thursday - 1/28/2010

The WNW-NW swell backs off on Thursday…still a few fun waves showing at the exposed spots though. Look for knee-waist high waves at the average W facing breaks…with a few chest-shoulder high sets showing at the standout breaks. Shape will be slow in the morning so you might want to wait for the tide to drop.
Light and variable to light offshore winds for the morning. Light winds, variable below 10-knots, will be on tap through midafternoon and then may back down a bit around sundown.
