Santa Barbara Surf Forecast - For Wednesday - 1/06/10

There is a little swell showing out there this afternoon and it looks like it will get a little better as it fills in a touch more overnight and into Wednesday. It won’t be great by any means but the combo of clean morning conditions and lower AM tides will help out the shape a bit. Expect most spots to be in the knee high range with some waist and even chest high sets sneaking into the better WNW facing breaks across the southern parts of the County. Try and get on it early if you can…the tide will fill in fast and the swell starts to lose a little energy by midday.

Winds look good…mostly light to moderately offshore in the morning blowing out of the E around 10-15 knots. Look for those winds to shift more Northerly and stick around the 10-15 knot range for the afternoon.
